    Jacqui Williams is founder and CEO of 99 Solutions, LLC, a full-service governmental affairs firm in Brooklyn, New York. At the time of its launch in 2009, Williams was one of the state’s first Black-women owned firms. Her lifelong commitment to economic development and connecting communities to power comes from her decades of experience and expertise in government relations as a lobbyist for the State of New York.

    Passion for her work shows. Called a “rainmaker” in New York politics by The New York Times, Williams is consistently named among the top Powerbrokers in New York politics

    Williams’ career has changed the face of the lobby industry. She has been a champion and advisor for generations of women, men and countless others, helping them to enter and succeed in the government relations space. And recently Williams received The Hazel N. Dukes Legacy Award for her unwavering dedication to economic development and community empowerment. 

    Her firm, 99 Solutions, boasts a deep roster of top-tier clients, from Silicon Valley Tech giants and Cable and Power companies to The Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY). Williams’ success can be seen on just about every corner of Brooklyn, as her firm has been an integral part of the revitalization of Downtown and beyond over the past two decades.

    In 2009, Williams also launched Coattails Productions, a full-service media strategy and production firm based in Brooklyn. In that role, she leads a consultancy of experts to create, publish and deliver innovative content for clients that want to connect with targeted communities across every platform.

    Always focused on her clients’ goals, Jacqui is equally dedicated to creating economic opportunities for people, businesses and communities that have been historically under-resourced. Throughout her  career, Jacqui has demonstrated a critical understanding of the importance of public-private partnerships and how they can be utilized to benefit all parties.

    Roxanne Jones is a trailblazing media executive, author, and thought leader with decades of success creating and monetizing original content across television, digital, and streaming platforms. An award-winning writer, Emmy-nominated producer, and widely read CNN opinion columnist, Jones is a powerful national voice on women’s equality, justice, politics, and sports.

    Her influence spans media, politics, and public affairs. Jones currently serves as External Affairs Advisor at 99 Solutions, a leading government relations and lobbying firm, where she directs communications and strategic engagement. She is also the Founder and CEO of The Push Marketing Group, a media strategy firm specializing in crisis management, video production, and publishing. Jones is a partner and Executive Producer at Coattails Productions in New York, where she works with clients to create, publish and distribute impactful original content for clients across platforms.

    As the first Black woman promoted to Vice President at ESPN, Jones spent nearly 15 years shaping the evolution of sports media. She was a founding editor of ESPN The Magazine, developed the concept for what became the network’s top-rated morning show First Take, and served as VP of ESPN.com, Broadband, and Publishing. She led multimillion-dollar partnerships with Apple and Disney Studios, expanded ESPN’s international operations in Milan, and drove more than $25 million in new digital ad revenue. She also was pivotal in the launch of ESPN’s Employee Affinity Groups and served on the Disney Corporate Diversity Council, advancing equity initiatives company-wide.

    After deciding to leave ESPN, Jones expanded her platform into political commentary, social justice, and women’s leadership. She co-authored Say It Loud: An Illustrated History of the Black Athlete (Random House) and continues to mentor authors and executives through her editorial and coaching work.

    A respected civic leader, Jones was the first woman elected Chair of the NABJ Sports Task Force and has served on boards including the Jimmy V Foundation, Rotary International, National Little League, and the St. Mary’s of the Woods College Board of Trustees. A lifelong LGBTQ+ ally, she became the first straight ally to chair the GLAAD Board of Directors, advised the Obama White House on LGBTQ+ issues in Black and Brown communities, and represented the U.S. on a literacy mission to Cuba. Jones is fluent in Spanish.

    Her groundbreaking work has earned her numerous honors, including the Trailblazer Award from 100 Black Women and Sportswoman of the Year from Women in Sports and Events.

    Shevonn Howard is Senior Coordinating Producer at Coattails Productions and she is the heartbeat that keeps the firm going. Howard oversees all operational and logistics management for the firm ensuring every project meets our highest standards. Howard is responsible for overseeing production crews, logistics and client management solutions. Shevonn also works directly with the Executive Producer and CEO and is onsite at every Coattails production.

    Shevonn began her career as an entrepreneur working in the event management sector. And for the past 13 years, she has worked in government relations at 99 Solutions with our CEO Jacqui Williams, where she is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day management of the fast-paced, New York lobby firm. Howard handles client management, scheduling, logistics and works to ensure the firm meets all state compliance regulations.

    Shevonn is a relationship builder with a keen eye for detail and a devotion to keeping our clients happy. A native New Yorker, Howard has deep ties to her community. She specializes in working with nonprofit organizations to help them restructure, develop a strong donor base, and extend their reach. Howard’s extensive nonprofit work includes partnerships with Moving Mountains and the New State NAACP.
